Schaufelberger GmbH joins the IRS Group

Top craftsmanship in a strong network

Rellingen, 1 August 2018

The IRS Group is adding another traditional business, thus once again investing in the future and joint success. The Landshut company Schaufelberger GmbH, one of the oldest and best-known paint and body shops in the region, joined the group on 1 August. From accident repairs or small bumps to paintwork and smart repairs, this owner-managed company has stood for proven craftsmanship and innovative solutions since 1952. “And I want to make sure things stay that way”, says its owner, manager and master body builder, Daniel Schubert.

It was his grandfather, Heinz Schaufelberger, who set up the business, which still bears his name to this day and will continue to do so as part of the IRS Group. Right from the start, he saw it as nothing less than his duty to deliver high-quality work on schedule. That sense of responsibility is still the cornerstone of the company in its third generation, and something that its customers can rely upon, alongside the range of services that has grown constantly over the decades. Innovation is a family trait, and also characterises Schubert’s leadership style: “It’s simply important to always be open to new ideas, concepts and ways of working, and to think ahead.”

It is that forward-looking attitude that paved the way for Schubert’s decision to integrate his company into the IRS Group. “We want to satisfy our customers’ future wishes and demands even today, and the transfer of expertise within this strong network, along with constant improvements to our workflows, will greatly help us do that.” The advantages of centralised administration are also obvious to Schubert. But it is not just responsibility towards his customers that drives him. “As I run the company alone, it is particularly important to me to know that my ten employees have a safe future.” Joining the group prepares his company for various eventualities. Schubert continues: “Even if I drop out at any point, operations can be maintained and continue seamlessly.” He pauses for a moment. “I owe that to my customers, my employees and, not least, my grandfather.” It is that sense of responsibility that has always set the company apart, both in terms of craftsmanship and on the human level.

That is what makes Bo Jacobsen, the IRS Group’s COO for body and paintwork, particularly pleased to welcome Mr Schubert and his team into the group. “We have no doubt that we will benefit enormously from the knowledge and experience of the company and its employees, and look forward to working with Mr Schubert and his team to make Schaufelberger GmbH even better than it already is.”

The IRS Group is Europe’s leading association in the fields of smart repairs, body repairs and paintwork, as well as repairing hail damage to vehicles’ outer shells. It provides the full range of services involving preparing and repairing the bodywork and interior of used cars, hire cars, crash-damaged and lease cars. The group currently employs more than 1,500 people.

The IRS Group now also extends a warm welcome to Autozentrum Treskow Karosserie & Lack GmbH

Managing Director Voigt brings his second company under the umbrella organisation

Rellingen, 1 July 2018

The Intelligent Repair Solutions Group is once again strengthening its leading position in Europe. Autozentrum Treskow Karosserie & Lack GmbH joined the group on 1 July; a new addition but, from a broader perspective, one which can draw on  previous experience. It is not, after all, the first time that managing director Rainer Voigt has used the network to increase the competitiveness of one of his companies. The Berlin-based Autozentrum Reinickendorf, which is also run by him, already belongs to the IRS Group. And that has clearly been successful. “A strong group consolidates skills and condenses a company’s entire administrative workings into a single central office”, Voigt explained. “Every single company benefits from combined planning, evaluations, training and especially combined purchasing, and becomes more marketable. It’s a recipe for success that has proved its worth in Berlin, so it makes sense to use it for our body and paintwork centre in Neuruppin.”

Founded in 1994, the company, which has 20 employees and 2 apprentices, specialises in body repairs and paintwork ranging from XS to XXL jobs. Customers with two-wheelers or trucks, cars or coaches have relied on quality and service here for almost 25 years. In Voigt’s view, the change makes the business even better equipped to keep up with constantly increasing expectations, now and in future: “Thanks to the acquisition, our team, who are just great at their job, can develop even further, especially in terms of complex technical issues and requirements.” Voigt, who will continue to serve as managing director, knows one thing for sure: “With the group backing them, that development among our staff will simply be even more of a success.”

The highly qualified and motivated team is precisely the aspect highlighted by Bo Jacobsen, the IRS Group’s COO for body repairs and paintwork: “Just like Autozentrum Reinickendorf, Autozentrum Treskow Karosserie & Lack GmbH is a faultlessly run and structured company with a really fantastic team of employees.” He continued: “The level of experience and motivation is above average, making us all the more eager to work together with this team and, of course, also with Mr Voigt, Mr Köpernick and Mr Gentikow.” Jacobsen is in no doubt that maintaining the high, steadily increasing quality standards is always in everyone’s best interests: the individual companies, the group and, of course, the customers. “We could not be more satisfied about Mr Voigt’s decision to bring his outstanding Neuruppin operation under the umbrella of the IRS Group.”
